  • New build, Opinions please.

    This computer will be used mainly for high end video editing and the target price was between 1250 and 1500. He wants to have an i7 and 1tb of hdd space and 6-8gig RAM and run VISTA. What do you guys think about it? Only thing I am worried about is the PSU as I am unsure how to calculate how much wattage is needed but I think 500 should be enough ...

  • New build turns off, then on, then off, then on

    I just built a computer a couple days ago, and when I powered it on for the first time, it turned on for a couple seconds, then turned off. Then turned on, then off, then on again, and it stayed on this time. It did it all by itself, I didn't touch it.   • Upgrade Complete. Vroom Vroom Vroom

    Just upgraded my system. I have recieved an Abit IX38 board and the Intel Q6700. Man this thing runs fast! It is not that much hotter than my old Pentium D 930 (I bet the dual core would run even cooler), and this thing zips throught updates and installs. Everything loads faster, and my big piano patches don't take very long to load up anymore. ...
