Is it possible to connect front panel audio ports to a sound card? I'm asking because I was looking at the MSI K9N2 Diamond Motherboard that comes with a sound card and was thinking if it was possible to hook up that audio card to some front panel connectors from my pc case. I'd appreciate an answer to my question. THANKS!!

I bought an HT Omega Striker 7.1 sound card that will not install completely. I have an ASUS A8V-XE motherboard and run Win2000 Pro. This one has me stumped. I recently purchased a ASUS V3-M2A690G I am running Vista Ultimate x64. When I install drivers for the onboard video, my sound dies. Ok, I need a soundcard that will work with my sister's stock eMachines PC. It needs to be able to output sound from both the front AND rear of the computer, so the soundcard needs the AC97 front audio panel connector, right? There are tons of good gaming sound cards out there, but can anyone recommend a good, quality sound card for music production. it would need to to have midi hookups.
