  • What is better? Two cards in SLI or one beefy card

    I'm trying to decide which card to get, either two EVGA 9800 GT in SLI or one EVGA GTX 260.  They will cost the same in the end after the rebates so that's not an issue.  I dual boot with ubuntu and vista I wasn't sure if SLI would affect anything in ubuntu.  What is going to be better performance wise?   Thanks in ...

  • I feel pretty confident about this build, but...

    ...I think one last look-over would be wise. My first build ever.  I've pushed my budget to it's limits ($1100) and the only wiggle room I have, price-wise, is lateral or backwards...so if you know of a better component choice for the same price or less, by all means suggest it.  I can't afford to buy a Core 2 Extreme right now, so ...
