I purchased my 9550 from newegg about a week ago. The system seems to run perfectly fine, with an idle CPU temp of 32*C.
Although the CPU temp is fine, one of the cores has an extremely low temperature:
(As reported by Everest during idle conditions)
Core 1: 40*C
Core 2: 40*C
Core 3: 16*C
Core 4: 35*C
I expected a 5-10*C difference ...

I was looking at the Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450 processor, and was wondering what my options are for motherboards that can support 2 of these things? I could not find a way to search for intel motherboards that support multiple processors for some reason...
Also, is it even worth it? Is 8 cores too hard to utilize? I noticed that the high end ...

I am upgrading from the old socket 754 build I put together in college. This is my preliminary list of hardware. The budget is tight, so I'll be putting the core together first, reusing some old components, and upgrading as I can. Fresh build. Looking for a mobo for my Q6600 and 8800 GT. There are so many options, but it looks like I've narrowed it down to a P35 board. Open to any suggestions even if it's not a P35. Should I go with the DDR2 ram or DDR3?
