So I wrote a thread here earlier trying to figure out why my video card crapped out on me after about 24 hours of running idle - I hadn't even tested it out - and I ended up RMA the card to the manufacturer since my NewEgg warranty had already expired... anyway, since I didn't want to wait for a new card I went ahead and bought another of the same ...

Hey guys.
I've got a fairly strange problem... I just built myself a new computer on Sunday (couple of days ago) and everything was going fine. After installing Windows XP and some basic programs, I started to download some stuff. It got late so I left my computer running overnight while it was downloading some stuff.
When I woke up ...

I just recently got all the parts to build my computer. However, after putting everything together I tried to turn it on and nothing happens. When i turn my power supply on, I get a light on in the upper right hand corner of my motherboard, which makes me think that neither the psu or the motherboard is the problem. I have attached all the cables ...

I just bought a Silverstone DA 1200 power supply and it emits a clicking noise in synch with the frame rate of whatever I have on screen. Most noticicble when frame rate slows due to benchmarking / high load games. Its bizzare. How on earth could these two be connected i.e. slow clicking slow frame rate high frame rate fast clicking. Is this even ...

Hello I own a Dell Optiplex GX280 Desktop which unfortunately came with an inadequate 280 Watt PSU. I believed I had done all my research when I bought an Antec Earthwatt's 500W but alas it would only work with a Larger Case. I know Dell uses a Propietary L Shape for the PSU so I was wondering if their is any hope for getting a larger ...

Which one would u think better, according to knowledge, serveral cases hasPSU at bottom like antec 900, RC690, centurion 590, COSMOS series, P180, P182. Many of those case has its own intake air slot for PSU and PSU release the hot air outside by itself , so which one would be better? top or bottom PSU.

I've had one of Raidmax's RX-530SS power supplies for almost a year now with no problems. This afternoon, I put my computer to sleep but when I returned, it wouldn't start. The motherboard has a led on it to indicate if the board is getting power. That light was no longer on. I made sure the rear switch was in the on ...

I've purchased a Dell XPS 630 system with a 19'' monitor, 8800 GT card, 3 gig of ram, 2 sata HD's, and also a basic HP color deskjet printer. The pc has a 750 watt psu. I was wondering first of all, if I should get a Backup UPS or just a nice surge protector. Secondly, if I should get a UPS how much of one do I need? How ...

I've been building systems for a long time and this one is totally new to me (and driving me nuts). I can't find any mention of anything like this via Google.
Here's what's happening... I just built my own system, containing an Antec EarthWatts 500W power supply (and a relatively old FoxConn Pentium 4 Motherboard). I hooked ...
