    1000 mA = 1 amp.  I would not recommend connecting your fans to the motherboard at all if you have connectors on your power supply.  It not only saves power believe it or not(by connecting straight to the PSU), but it also keeps your mobo safe in the unlikely event that your fans go crazy.  I would definitely not overload a single ...
