  • The Atom Inside of the MSI Wind Barebone - 64-bit?

I am going to put together a PC using the MSI Wind Barebone (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16856167032&Tpk=N82E16856167032). It says it has a 1.6GHz Intel Atom. But is this the 64-bit Atom? I know there's 3 (according to Wikipedia) models of the processor. The Atom N230 is apparently 64-bit. I'd assume it is this one ...

  • New AMD Build - all opinions welcomed

I am upgrading from the old socket 754 build I put together in college. This is my preliminary list of hardware. The budget is tight, so I'll be putting the core together first, reusing some old components, and upgrading as I can. I don't have too many builder friends, so any opinions and input would be greatly appreciatedMotherboard BIOSTAR ...

  • Re: Motherboard, CPU, and Video card?

Alucard666:If you'll be doing a lot of gamming and hardcore overclocking go with a e8400 or e8500, if you'll only be overclocking to 3.4-3.6 then go wit hthe Q6600 and save yourself the extra $ As fars as boards go.. you can get a great intel board such as the X48, X38 or the p35 for a fair price. ASUS being the best company to ...

  • Q9450 + Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L = not booting...

On 5/1/08, I ordered a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L (rev 2.0) from Newegg, and I am trying to use it with an Intel Q9450 processor. I cannot get it to boot to BIOS (it turns on for a few seconds, turns off, restarts, and does the same thing, but no BIOS POST beeps or any images). One potential reason for this might be that the stock BIOS version on ...

  • Re: Thinking of buying a motherboard

Hey, wazzup! I checked out your case.  Good price, decent case from the looks of it.  Where they (atxcases.com) will get you is the shipping.  Cases can be had, for not much more, that feature tool-less design and better design overall from an established vendor.  Also they should use thicker rolled steel.  You don't want ...
