I've been building this computer for a couple days( couple days because had to order new part :( ) and now that everything is plugged in, it will not start. The case is an Antec P182 and the Motherboard is a EVGA 790i. I think that the power button is not plugged in, but it is. The reset button lights up, but the power button does not. I figure ...

I'm looking to upgrade my Dell Inspiron 531 and buy a video card for the pci express x16 slot, but the power supply it comes with is only 300 watts. I want a decent card so I'm pretty sure I'm going to need to upgrade my power supply, but I'm worried about what type of PSU could fit into an Inspiron 531 case. If someone could pick me out a power ...

So I wrote a thread here earlier trying to figure out why my video card crapped out on me after about 24 hours of running idle - I hadn't even tested it out - and I ended up RMA the card to the manufacturer since my NewEgg warranty had already expired... anyway, since I didn't want to wait for a new card I went ahead and bought another of the same ...

Hey guys.
I've got a fairly strange problem... I just built myself a new computer on Sunday (couple of days ago) and everything was going fine. After installing Windows XP and some basic programs, I started to download some stuff. It got late so I left my computer running overnight while it was downloading some stuff.
When I woke up ...

I am upgrading from the old socket 754 build I put together in college. This is my preliminary list of hardware. The budget is tight, so I'll be putting the core together first, reusing some old components, and upgrading as I can. I don't have too many builder friends, so any opinions and input would be greatly appreciatedMotherboard

I like the Kill-A-Watt power monitor to monitor how much is being used http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882715005 but is there another monitor that stores the data internally so it can be parsed and processed on a PC? Perhaps one that doesn't store it, but maybe plugs in via ethernet and just sends the data to a computer ...

For years I've been using a Seasonic M12 700W power supply for my workstation. Though a recent upgrade to dual Opteron 2352 quad core processors have pushed the power supply beyond what it can handle. I'm looking at 1000W and 1200W power supplies and honestly, they are really expensive. So my question is, has anyone used any of the power supplies ...

I've had one of Raidmax's RX-530SS power supplies for almost a year now with no problems. This afternoon, I put my computer to sleep but when I returned, it wouldn't start. The motherboard has a led on it to indicate if the board is getting power. That light was no longer on. I made sure the rear switch was in the on ...

I bought a Rosewill R5601-BK computer case yesterday. When I tried to mount my power supply, the holes did not match up. Do I have to buy a Rosewell power supply or is there an adapter plate that screws onto the case?

I don't have a large budget, and am looking to do it over the period of a few months... Can anyone point me toward, or suggest some good parts so that I can upgrade the performance?

I just finished building a new computer and the power supply is making an odd noise. It makes a clicking sound that sounds like it could be the fan, but I am not sure it is the fan. The sound goes away completely if the computer is left running for a few minutes.
Here is the part that has me worried, if I apply some upward force on the power ...
