Hi,
First of all, my PC is a Dell Dimension E520. Intel Core 2 1.86 Ghz. Currently running Windows 7 32-Bit. I have 4gb RAM. 230gb HDD.
I recently purchased an HIS ATI Radeon HD 4670 1gb (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161287) for my computer, and once I received the card, I proceeded to install it, and ...

I just went through neweggs power supply calculator and it gave me a number I didn't expect. The amount of power it recommended was 1,580W! I was shocked considering I am going to try and build a 1 video card computer without a lot of extras. Anyways I went to another calculator listed on these forums and it said I only needed about 300W. Is ...

I bought a Corsair 750TX over a year ago, but just installed it today. I have only plugged in my 20 pin connector to the mobo and two 120mm fans (via molex), nothing else yet. All drives and vid card are not plugged.
When I flip the switch on the back of the PSU it makes a momentary loud squeal and the case fans and leds power ...

Because of the work that i do, it have to run multiple monitors so the idea of have more than one card is a must. I was thinking that this should be enough juice for the computer. I guess, my main concern was the heat blowing on the ...

Hi Hoghauler,
I tried Sidicas suggestions above and everything came back fine, both fans are working and the memory test (I used the microsoft one, easier for me) all came back ok. When I opend the PC to check the fans, I took a picture of the PSU label and although there is a lot of information on it, there are two lines that may give you a clue ...

My air conditioning broke a few months ago and I have a Core i7, Radeon 4830, and a MSI x58 Pro motherboard. All of which aren't especially cool running, and the MSI x58 pro like to keep the IOH at a nice toasty 80+ degree celsius. It was probably about 85 degrees in my room. I'm sure this was the main reason, so ...

I am looking to upgrade my Dimension 4700c desktop with a better video card and power supply if needed. I want the best upgrades possible. My price range is under $150. This is my first time building/upgrading a computer and I am lost because I have read it needs a special ''half sized'' video card to fit into it's small case. This is a link to ...
