I've had my rig for a little over 5 months now. I've always experienced some issues with the PC (if I play a bunch of videos back to back, or skip through them in WMP, my comp crashes), but I didn't think much of them. Within the past month, my PC has been crashing with some regularity. Vista said it was due to the NVIDIA SATA ...

I am planning on the purchase of the above MOBO. I already have a Slot 775 E8500 Processor, and 2 GeForce 8600GT 1GB nVidia SLI Graphics Cards, with 4GB Corsair (4 x CM2X1024 - 6400/800), ALL going into a ANTEC P190 +1200 Case.
I need a MINIMUM of 8 SATA Headers onboard (2-DVDRWs; 2 x 1TB HDs, and a 4 Drive (4 x 750GB HDs) Raid, and this is the ...

I built my last system in Feb of 2006 (all Newegg, of course!), and recently it has started acting extremely flaky. I am running Windows XP on a Athlon 3700+, 2G of RAM, Biostar TForce4 SLI mobo. It has a video card but I forget what I put in there.
It's been rock solid all this time but in the last month I've had 2 hard ...

I am doing a new build and so far I think I want the intel q6700 2.66 ghz processor
(processor)
But after that, I don't know what mobo or video card to get. How does ATI compare with Nvidia nowadays? I know Nvidia is doing well but I am out of the loop for ATI.
Anyway, should the mobo be sli capable just incase (or crossfire)?
I ...

Is there anything wrong with this combination? I'm just wondering if I'm making a huge core build mistake.

I've recently been walking down the path of trying to get 3 screens setup for gaming purposes.
Currently, I've got 2 nvidia cards that are not SLI compatible hooked up, and 3 monitors setup for a desktop.
However, the desktop does not span across all 3, and any games cannot take advantage of hardware acceleration and 3 screens.
Without ...

Hey Guys,Our community
really put NVIDIA to work with a monster-sized question list! It was so huge that we had to split the interview into two parts, and we're pretty sure that you guys will agree: we saved the best for last. There’s a LOT
of meat in this interview! Nvidia had a
handful of their specialized guys answering your questions to ...

I just now read that nVidia acquired Ageia...I thought that between Ageia physics and ''true'' quad core processing that AMD/ATI stood a chance of redemption by going a different route technologically. Around the time of socket 939 (seems so long ago) AMD seemed untouchable. Although ATI took the backseat graphically around that time, building ...

Hi, I'm going to be in the market for a new computer in the next couple of months and I'm trying to find a motherboard that will satisfy my needs.
I'm looking for something with an AM2+ socket (Phenom support) and an nVidia north bridge along with support for SLI. It seems that the only decent AMD boards that I can find are all designed to ...

I recently purchased a HP 9740 laptop that has a blu ray drive and a Nvidia GeForce 8600M GS 512 mb video card. The laptop has an HDMI port on it and I plugged it into my HDTV. The picture comes through fine but there's no sound. I read somewhere that all Nvidia GeForce 8 and 9 series cards support video and audio output through ...

so im wondering what would be the cheapest upgrade for the cpu speed, i
encode huge movie files, and do many other things that would just take
less time with a nicely clocked cpu,
i have a system that is decent but want to upgrade it, so i look to the motherboard as the cheaper possible upgrade, i have a e6400 core 2 duo that can easily reach ...
