and ATI video cards? I'm just curious because I'm looking into buying an ATI 4890 card. The motherboard has the PCI ...

Hi! I just got a new mobo, this one and a new CPU, this one, and found out, with lots of general confusion, that my current PSU ( this one ) doesn't support the new mobo! (It not only has the right plugs (see below) but it's underpowered according to the mobo manual. Wants 500w, have a 400w.)
The new mobo (my old only took a 4-pin aux power) ...

I'm looking at building a AMD system with a 3Ghz phenom II CPU. I'm thinking i should have a AM3 board so its more open in the future for compatibility. The computer will be in use for at least the next 5 years so being able to make upgrades is a good thing. Iv looked at a few boards and i really don't know what to pick. Has anyone built a system ...

Hi.
I am building a new computer. I have built a few before, so I am confident with building
Recently, I bought the following from Newegg:
Gigabyte EP45-UD3P MotherboardIntel dual core 3ghz GSKILL DDR2-1066 (2 2GB sticks)
When I first put everything together, the bios was not operating correctly, I would tell it to boot from CD, and it ...

First check out the PSU. Do this by disconnecting it from the Mobo, hard drives and anything else. Use a paperclip and short out the green wire with any of the black ones in the 24 pin Mobo connector. Plug in the PSU and the fans in the PSU should spin up. If shorting the green wire and a black wire does nothing, your PSU is bad. If not, be sure ...

I woke up Saturday and went into my room and saw all of the appliances that are usually in standby (stereo, lamp) weren't on, my cellphone wasn't chaging either. I tried turning on my computer but it wouldn't start,I went to my fusebox and opened it ...

On a whim I was reading about the bios updates for my system and I came across A03 and it said under fixes and enhancements '' 4) Added support for 3.2GHz CPUs.'' Also there were other new bios's that states added Microcode for newer processors.
As for upgrading a system that is 7 years old. The system is a good system. It may not be the ...

It seems to me that every intel 775 mobo I look at with interest, when its time for me to check out the reviews on newegg.. a good 10% or better of them have 1 egg due to being DOA... EVGA, Gigabyte, ASUS... even the mobos with newegg awards... there seems to be a rather large percentage of DOA mobos out there.. what gives? Are the ...

anyone seen this board? http://www.biostar-usa.com/app/en-us/t-series/introduction.php?S_ID=375
it looks like it could be the ultimate htpc because its a 790gx based board which means it should do a better job with the phenoms, shouldn't it? as far as the high power ones, that some of the 780g matx boards have issues with. seems like a great ...
