    Most DDR2 memory employ one or more SPDs specifications, embedded within the DIMMs themselves.  These specifications let the BIOS determine what speed (and timings too) to run at. Within reason, a mobo featuring DDR2 1066 should run DDR2 800 just fine.  If it's a high-end mobo, you can tell it to override the SPD and attempt to run it ...

  • ASUS G Series G2S-B1 Memory Upgrade

    I just purchased this ASUS from Newegg and would like to upgrade the memory to 4GB.  The MB has 2 dimms but I can't seem to find a compatible stick that comes in 2GB.  Can anyone point me in the right direction?  Thanks in advance!
