    I got the same laptop as you did (MC7833u) and it lasted about two days before it was locking up.  The keyboard and mouse stop working, intermittantly and required restart.  It looked like it was locked cold because you couldn't do ALT-CTL-DEL, but the quick keys along side the keyboard would still bring up webpages etc...  ...
