I have broken the hard drive cable in my 3.5'' external hard drive enclosure.  It's a standard 40 pin 80 conductor IDE flat ribbon cable, but it's only 2'' long -- and that's the problem.  I have spent hours now trying to find a replacement, and the best I could come up with was buying the tools and connectors to make one myself.  This ...
