I appreciate the advice but I was planning on using the SSD for my OS since I hear it's WAY faster to boot your system that way. That said you're probably right about downing the hard drive to 500 GB, I don't think I need 1TB either.
I was also wondering which is better: A 2GB Radeon HD 7850 or a 1GB Radeon HD 7950?

Hey guys, I'm building my first gaming PC and I just wondering if everything checks out ok. The budget WAS $1000 but as it turns out my state is one of the few who charge sales tax on online transactions, so between that and Windows 7 Professional (which I'm getting from another site) my budget turns out to be about $850-$875.
Here's what I'm ...

Hi
I live in Sydney, Australia.
I want to build an AMD gaming PC for less than 850 Australian dollars.
It should also support adding up to 16GB RAM and a SSD drive at a later date.
I have decided to order the components from mwave.com.au
This is what I have thought of so far:
CPU: AMD FX 6300 $149 ...

http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=29954968
Will this build work? I don't really play demanding games (WoW, TF2, Gmod 13, GTA SA, etc), and I'm in a tight budget. I don't mind playing some games at low settings, as long as it is at a playable framerate.

I have been configuring and tweaking a build over the past few weeks. It is located here http://pcpartpicker.com/p/FUvV
I had 3 questions
1) The power supply. Good enough? Do I need more. I am stuck the most right now on getting a decent psu.
2) Does 2x8 Ram or 4x4 ram make a difference? I am going with 16 total and was just wondering of how it ...
