  • Antec 900

How do we get a good air flow within the Antec 900? It has 4 fans, so i guess the 2 in front sucks, and the one in the back and top exhausts? How do we tell which way the fan blows?

  • Repairing Noisy VGA fan

Thought I would pass along a little trick I learned while working as a journeyman electrician many moons ago. While on a service call in the Mojave desert badlands in Southern California I encountered a ''frozen'' HVAC blower motor. Being in the middle of nowhere and a nice cool 115 degree day, I needed to get this AC going before I had to ...

  • BFG NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT 256MB PCIe, LOUD Fan, p

I recently purchased this graphics card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814143104 But the fan is VERY loud (at all times)... I'm assuming I can just purchase a third-party fan that will be quieter? Does anyone know what sizes I should be looking for?  I came across this fan: ...

  • CASE MOD SUGGESTIONS?

the title pretty much says it. I'm looking for some fun and challenging case mods that I can do in my engineering tech class. I already am in the process of making a side panel with a fan and a cool-a** switch. I'm also planning on doing that serial-port controlled led mod integrated into the case. I'd love to hear your suggestions and I'll post ...

  • Re: Multiple fans on a single mobo connector.

1000 mA = 1 amp.  I would not recommend connecting your fans to the motherboard at all if you have connectors on your power supply.  It not only saves power believe it or not(by connecting straight to the PSU), but it also keeps your mobo safe in the unlikely event that your fans go crazy.  I would definitely not overload a single ...

  • Re: MCP

I have exactly the same issue - everything runs cool, but MCP temperature goes to 68-70 and stays there.  And that's WITH the optional fan, running at full speed.  I called EVGA tech support, and they said to put fan to 100% (it was at 60).  However, I read that this should be passively-cooled chipset!!!???  My CPU fan is ...
