  • Switching motherboards, Drivers a problem?

Recently i moved to Greece from the U.S, i shipped my computer and hooked all up all nice and dandy right. Well my computer won't post, i've determined that it is the motherboard.   My question is, if i still have my same harddrive in the computer, and say i buy a crosshair 2 formula, will my old crosshair motherboard drivers interfere if i ...

  • 4850 performance question

At 1680x1050, is 60fps on Half Life 2 normal?  Just Straight up Half Life 2, none of the episodes.  Normally, running 60fps on any game is nice, and is certainly playable.  I was just under the impression that I was supposed to be getting a much higher fps rate than that.  And since I plan to be getting a newer game or two ...

  • Doom 3

I think the latest ATI Catalyst Drivers have issues unknown by ATI, Doom 3 has tearing when vertical sync is on, although I just bought it today on Steam, the demo even had the problem (I had had the demo for a while and wanted to play a little before the purchase) and it had never had that issue before, and another glitch is that when imps are ...

Well thanks for all your discussion on the matter - it's appreciated.  Just so we're all on the same page, here's an photo of the BSOD I get all the time. Anyway, my dilemma continues... • BSOD cause a mystery (XP x64)

I've just built a new system and I keep getting BSOD's that predominantly give an error code that begin with 0x1000007e and at no time have any system files been listed as to what caused the problem (just the long hexadecimal string no one really understands in the brackets/parentheses).  My research suggests to me that the most ...
