  • Dell Optiplex GX280 PSU

Hello I own a Dell Optiplex GX280 Desktop which unfortunately came with an inadequate 280 Watt PSU.  I believed I had done all my research when I bought an Antec Earthwatt's 500W but alas it would only work with a Larger Case.  I know Dell uses a Propietary L Shape for the PSU so I was wondering if their is any hope for getting a larger ...

  • Doom 3

I think the latest ATI Catalyst Drivers have issues unknown by ATI, Doom 3 has tearing when vertical sync is on, although I just bought it today on Steam, the demo even had the problem (I had had the demo for a while and wanted to play a little before the purchase) and it had never had that issue before, and another glitch is that when imps are ...

  • Input on upgrading XPS 420

So, I recently purchaced a computer through the Dell Outlet store (low budget), and I'm interested in making some minor upgrades to it... Aka, HDD, RAM, Cooling... I don't have a large budget, and am looking to do it over the period of a few months... Can anyone point me toward, or suggest some good parts so that I can upgrade the performance?

  • Dell PSU

Okay so I have a Dell Optiplex GX280 which I want to upgrade with a new Graphics Card and Memory.  The problem is that I have a L280P-00 Powersuppy giving me only 280W!  Since I can't find a decent graphics card for XP that will run with only 280W I'm looking to upgrade my PSU.  This leads to me going onto the Dell site and finding ...

  • Hacking the "My Book" 500GB - Upgrade to eSATA

Update: You might not have to bend the case so much after all...  Heheh the joke is on me I guess.... After all of this, I indeed discovered there *IS* a screw in the case, it was just painted over with some very convincing black paint, at least on my model.... And when I saw the underside of the aluminum connector inside the box, it looked ...

  • Dell has forgotten the consumers

Dell a while back decided to switch their phone support from English speakers to foreign (mostly from India). I believe it is fair to say that this greatly frustrates any English speaker attempting to resolve an issue. To illustrate this I will share my experience with the Dell ''Express'' Vista Upgrade program. Now I know that there are many ...
