  • Re: Where can I find cooling fan for HP DV1000 lap

Group: When is a HP DV1000 not a DV1000? When it's ''really'' a  DV1600. The front of the laptop and the back holographic label say ''DV1000'', so I downloaded the repair manual from HP and found the replacement fan part number in the manual, which agreed with the part number for a DV1000 on the HP website parts store. So, I ordered that ...

  • Even with AC Freezer Pro 7, major heat issues

I've just built my first computer, and with the stock HSF I was getting idle temps of 60 C, and under load I got up to 93 C! I just installed my new AC Freezer Pro 7, and I'm still idling between 55-60 C. The fan is facing the back of the case, blowing into a 120mm exhaust fan in the back. Both the exhaust and 120mm intake fans are running fine. ...

  • HD 4850 W/Duorb Cooler problem

I built my rig and have two ASUS HD 4850s in crossfire. My temps were high so I bought two duorb coolers. I got one so I put it on and left the other card with the stock cooler. When I turned on the computer it went to load windows and rebooted. Then it will get windows loaded and reboot again. After the third or forth time it will run with ...

  • ATI ASUS HD 4850 Cooling

I just rebuilt my rig and have two 4850's in crossfire. At idle my temp is 58 degrees. during gaming it's in the high 80s. Would it be better to get a new case or to get a couple of coolers like the duo orb? If I get a cooler, whats the best option to go with that will fit the 4850? Thanks for the help.

  • Opinions/Criticism/Warnings on first Gaming System

Hi there  I'm very new to this forum, but I've been reading lots of posts gathering information to build a new gaming rig and everybody seems very kind.  So I decided I'd post what I have planned so far for my rig. • Re: New Desktop Virtual Server Build (DFI + Q6600)

Update on this machine: With two exceptions, it's running very well.  WinXP x86 SP3, Win2003 x86 SP2, and Win2003 x64 SP2 all very stable.  Both Win2003's see all of the 8GB I have on the machine.  And the RAID10 architecture on the ICH9R southbridge is also doing quite well (I'm running several SQL Server projects on it). ...

  • Cooling a GIGABYTE GA-MA770-DS3 motherboard.

I just got one of these mother boards from NewEgg. A lot of reviewers say the board runs rather hot, but none of the reviewers mention whether they are over-clocking the system or not. Obviously if you over-clock a system without supplimenting the stock cooling system it will run hot.  I don't plan to over-clock my system, if fact I don't ...

  • Separate fan and light controls

So, just in case you haven't heard of the new A.C. Ryan BlackFire4 UV Fans, they have separate fan and light wires, so you can adjust the lights and the fans individually. http://www1.acryan.com/_fan/index.shtml Nifty huh? Well, here's my problem: I want to use three of these fans, and control all of the lights with one knob of a fan controller, ...

  • MassCool NexTherm with Built-in Air Conditioning

Was wondering if anyone has ever had any experience with this case? It sounds good, but I don't know if it is just a gimmick. Apparently it uses a TECto cool down the internal case temp. I've searched for reviews, but they are very limited. Let me know what you guys think. Link below.  ...

  • Need advice on building custom water cooling.

I have a build that I'm saving up for, and for maximum OC-ability and low noise, I am looking to water cool it. Check my post below for the updated build.  I'm not sure about the best way to go about this. I think that I have most of it down, but I have no idea how to cool 2 9800 GX2's or the memory. Also I have absolutely zero experience ...
