So this is my first post on these forums - I'm working on a new build and haven't built a computer in 6 years so I just want to get some expert/community advice to make sure all my parts are going to be working well together.
I included my shopping cart below because I didn't feel like writing it all out! Also - in addition to the items ...

I agree hugely with PapaHomer, a ''recommend by compatibility'' feature would be a seriously powerful tool, for both new folk and experts, it would just really quicken things up.

I'm thinking about buying this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148337 (Seagate 1.5tb HDD) to be used with this: http://www.thermaltakeusa.com/product/Storage/35_solutions/n0006us/n0006us.asp. Will the HDD enclosure from thermaltake be compatible with my 1.5TB hard drive (even though it says it's compatible with hard ...

As far as I understand, PhysX is a physics engine implemented in games and other software applications. How does this relate to or affect other game engines such as DirectX and OpenGL?
Does PhysX also integrate itself with a PhysX specific card to maximize the algorithms between both software and hardware solutions? If so, how does this ...

This is going to be my first rig I build from scratch and from reading a few dozen forum posts about the mb not working I thought it would be best to ask. I have a moderate understanding of computers from fixing comps, moding some, and upgrading. I'm looking at:

Hello all, I'm pretty new to this forum and especially novice to PC building as this will be my 1st build. I am looking to build a POWERFUL Gaming rig that will be used primarily for FPS games and MMORPGS with large scale battles. I'm willing to spend in the more or less about $2,000-$2,500 range(this includes monitor). Pls ...

This sounds like the best option for recording from a camera. The only thing I worry about is that since the technology is so new, there may bea number of compatibility problems along the way. If you're constricted to only a few codecs, if there are errors found in Final Cut while you're trying to edit, if Compressor doesn't allow as many ...

I have a Power MAC G5 with 512 MB DDR SDRAM. I recently bought DDR2 Kit - (2x) 1.0GB. I thought this would be compatible but when I installed it and turned the computer on the monitor would not come on. When I removed the new memory the monitor work just like before. Am I intalling the memory wrong or is the memory not compantible? Any ideas ...

Hello. I have an Apple G5 PowerPC, running a 250 GB Maxtor 6B250S0 ATA Hard Drive in the ''A'' (upper) Bay. I want to purchase another 250 GB Hard Drive from Newegg.com, but because the Maxtor 6B250S0 model is unavailable, I don't know which other Maxtor drive would be appropriate. I want to add a Hard Drive to the ''B'' (lower) Bay. I have never ...

Hey all:
I was just about to pull the trigger on my new build (still waffling on one component) and decided to do a last minute check on compatibility of all programs/components.
