  • New System Build - Power Issues (maybe)

OK, check posted specifics. I can boot and get into Windows, however, the computer shuts off (as if someone just pulled the plug <poof>) after just a minute (or less). The interesting thing is, I just installed the Antec 850W today.  Prior to that, I was using an Antec 500W Neo PSU and the same problem existed -- except the computer ...

  • First time builder looking for system review

I tend to be on an approximately 4 year cycle for replacing computers.  This time I am a tad early because I have the new Tomb Raider Underworld sitting on my desk awaiting a computer that can play it as it is meant to be played rather that at 800 x 600 with everything dumbed down to the lowest possible quality. My goal is to build a computer that ...

  • Re: Is this all compatible?

It all fits, but I strongly recommend getting a different power supply.  Refer to this post to get an idea of where that Cooler Master PSU is in contrast to other PSU's in terms of quality and stability (Tier 4!): http://www.eggxpert.com/forums/thread/323050.aspx I recommend looking at the Antec TruePower Trio (Tier 2), I believe this 550W ...

  • Will this build work?

Hello everyone, I'm building a computer and my budget is around $1300. I'm fairly new to computer building and I'm not sure if every part that I have chosen from NewEgg is compatible with every other part. If anything doesn't work with anything or if you have any suggestions for better parts let me know. I plan to cross fire two ATI ...

  • Antec EA500 EarthWatts 500W PSU

The new generation of power supplies has begun to amp up the competition for efficiency. Antec’s EarthWatts series is among the first to cause a stir in the PSU marketing strategy by emphasizing efficient power delivery over the multi-rail hype. The two +12V rails allow you to distribute your power more evenly, which will result in a more stable ...
  • Antec P180B Performance One ATX Case

Computer cases are the face and body of a computer. With that said the range of different designs for computer cases can span the gamut, with something available for everyone. Since most consumers have become more performance minded and possibly more personal, it seems expected that builders and enthusiasts have finally evolved to think outside ...
  • Antec TP3-650 TruePower Trio 650W PSU

The power supply unit is the single most important part of any computer. Regardless of the system there is a given rule: whether it is a simple workstation with integrated components or an advanced gaming system with fresh piece of technology available, everything requires power to operate. As anyone who has suffered the failure of a low-end power ...
