I have a Dell C521 with a AM2 socket. However it have a weird heatsink. You'll need to look up pictures. I want to upgrade the Cpu for 60 to a max 100 bucks. I don't think the the problem will be to find a CPU but to find one that will work with the built in heatsink. Also it's 90nm and a AMD athlon 64 ...

Over the last two days it would seem that my Nvidia 7600GS video card has been giving out. I purchased an AM3 mobo and Phenom 955 cpu, I want to replace the stock heatsink but I couldnt find anywhere if AM2/AM2+ heatsinks are compatible. Im assuming they are but before I purchased anything I wanted to make sure since Im not in a hurry.
