Ok if its one thing I learned since i joined is that you guys on this site r a great goup of ppl and ever since I did my build last feb, and when ever i had a question, problem or anything you guys have always come to the rescue.. So i would like to begin by saying thank you and helping out a dummy like me... lol  So here is my problem ...

My graphics card (listed in the topic title) is at a temp of 58C while im doing nothing. Thats a little high for me. Im new to the whole, updateing your computer. So I was wondering what I should get to cool the card down.   My budget is 15 - 30 dollars. Thanks for any help.

Hello all, I just built a new system using an E8400, ASUS P5K64 WS, and Zalman 9700 cooler. The build went very smoothly, and the system seems quite stable. However, the core temp reading I get from the BIOS, SpeedFan, and PCProbe is 4C at idle. I am running the latest BIOS (0504) and have tried downgrading the BIOS as well, with no difference. ...

Timdg I just bought an E4400.  My idle temps are about the same however my load temps get up to 65C (and I am OC'd barely).  I doubt that even heavy encoding is a 100% CPU use code...I may be wrong...I'm sure it uses a lot of CPU power.  Prime95 with an instance on each core will get you closer to your true load temps after aout ...

I'm running at 47/48 Idle on default speeds according to Core Tempt .96 with a tj. max of 100....which I think is the correct max, so the readings must be correct.  motherboard monitor doesn't pick up my temps for some reason.  ITE smart guardian reports temps that are on average about 10 degrees lower.    After just 5 ...
