I have my computer here running Windows XP on 2 GB RAM, but I'd like to upgrade to the 64-bit Windows 7 Ultimate with 6 GB total of RAM. I already have identical ...

I am going to suggest she get an extra gig of RAM for it too, but I don't know enough about RAM/Netbooks to comfortably suggest what she should buy. I was under the impression that you would need exactly the same model that it ...

Hi,
I am thinking of purchasing Gigabyte motherboard and CPU combo.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.254103
I am on a tight budget and thinking about going with DDR2 800MHZ ram at least 2GB
for Win 7 64bit. Any suggestions on what brand and least expensive would be real helpful.
Thank you ...

According to Laptop Mag and various other sources, HDD and RAM are both easy switches. HDD is pretty easy. RAM max is 2GB. Good Call.
Any ideas on preformance? My current comp is running a Pentium 4 1.69GHz, 1700MHz, 512MB of RAM?, with an ATI Graphics card. How's the comparison going to be? any ideas?

Please excuse me if I've managed to stick this in the wrong forum. I've a dead Alienware computer that's been collecting dust for the last year and a half and want to upgrade its hardware, but I'm terribly ignorant about what kind of motherboard, processor, video card, and the like would be appropriate. It's got an Intel d875pbz motherboard, which ...

This turned out to be a bad RAM stick that was diagnosed by running the Memtest86 as recommended by GmsCool. I had to run it a couple of times, including overnight, to find the problem. ...
