I need advice on specs for a power supply for my first computer build. I'm new at this and not sure what to look for in a ps unit, how to reliably calculate the watts needed or, more importantly, the number or rails, etc. (although i've tried to do some research it is still sinking in *very* slowly).

Well I'm building a new rig. I don't want to buy a new PSU because I have an Antec 400W PSU and I was wondering if that PSU can handle whole rig. If it's not, can someone show me a cheap but really good PSU? I'm tying to keep the whole rig around $500 ($520 max).

Please help me find an adequate PSU on Newegg to run my first system build listed below. How many watts do I need for the ordinary OC of the CPU ,Video Card and RAM?
I emphasize on the Quietness of the PSU. My just bought a CoolerMaster 600W PSU, which is extremely y loud. I need a quite PSU!

I just bought the new Antec Sonata III with the Antec Earthwatts 500W power supply. I have 3 hard drives in my machine (all 3 have SATA power, 2 have 4-Pin power also) and I have 3 drives in my machine (1 cd burner, 1 dvd-rom, 1 dvd burner) and the 2 dvd drives have SATA power, but only the dvd rom has SATA and 4-pin.
