I recently bought an APEX TX381 Steel Micro ATX Tower. Put the rig together last night and the Micro ATX 400w power supply won't fit in the PSU mount on the case, what can I do to securely mount that sucker on there? I tried looking all over for Micro ATX mounts...

Hello all, my friend is considering to replace his 300 watt PSU for a 500w tier 2/T/3. I don't know his full specs but he is running a QX9650 and a few harddrives/DVD drives. I convinced him to get the newly power efficient 4770 but I think he might just end up getting a 4850 since 4770 prices have now gone above $100 on newegg.
He will ...

Hi! I just got a new mobo, this one and a new CPU, this one, and found out, with lots of general confusion, that my current PSU ( this one ) doesn't support the new mobo! (It not only has the right plugs (see below) but it's underpowered according to the mobo manual. Wants 500w, have a 400w.)
The new mobo (my old only took a 4-pin aux power) ...

OK I got a 8400GS about 4 months ago. When I first got it I thought that my PSU wouldn't have enough power for it. I Under clocked it for about 2 months. But here is the problem when I play games I can play to a point until the video freezes and the sound repeats. Yesterday I got fed up and took the card out. My motherboard ...

Recently, I bought the following from Newegg:

I planned on replacing my stock PSU because the stock PSU did not have a 6 pin to attach to my 9600GSO. I've detached the four big screws that keep my PSU onto my case, When I tried to take out my stock PSU however, it wouldn't come off. Tried wriggling it, pulling it, etc etc. I see a screw that is partially covered by the edge of the case that ...

After a scant three years my Antec True Power 500W just bit the dust I think. The system won't power on sometimes even after changing cables and I just got a super long Windows loading time and then crash. I'm guessing it needs to be replaced.
I have an older system (Athlon 3000+, 6800GT, dvd burner, 2 x sata hdds) but I figure by the time I drop ...

I've not done any hardware or driver changes to the system prior to the issues, but I did need to move it, so it may have taken a light knock or two (nothing major).
The symptoms presented in the following order:
Loud fan noise would occasionally start (presumably when CPU got to a certain temperature). The frequency of this increased, and ...

First check out the PSU. Do this by disconnecting it from the Mobo, hard drives and anything else. Use a paperclip and short out the green wire with any of the black ones in the 24 pin Mobo connector. Plug in the PSU and the fans in the PSU should spin up. If shorting the green wire and a black wire does nothing, your PSU is bad. If not, be sure ...

I'll start with a little background:
Friday night I turned my computer off around 5-7 PM. I woke up Saturday and went into my room and saw all of the appliances that are usually in standby (stereo, lamp) weren't on, my cellphone wasn't chaging either. I tried turning on my computer but it wouldn't start,I went to my fusebox and opened it ...
