Hey, I have just got my copy of the Windows 7 Upgrade disc. I'm upgrading from XP 32-bit, and every time I attempt to upgrade I get an 0xC0000005 error, as I have previously posted on the Windows 7 forums. I didn't get anything that helped me, and I was wondering if it was worth it to sell it and get the entire Windows 7, or format my HDD and ...

Hello, I'm getting ready to build my 1st new PC and I was hoping to buy all of my parts Retail... not entirely too clear on what OEM means exactly but I get the general sense that newbies such as myself should stay away from that. I have an 2001 Dell desktop that originally came with Win 98. I flashed the bios and installed one of those student one time shot versions of XP. ( I didn't know it at the time that you could only install it once). I was wondering if it would be possible to buy an inexpensive OEM version of XP for it that would allow me to use it on just that ...

Hello,
So if I buy a laptop with vista 32 bit already installed, is it possible for me to get vista 64 bit without buying a retail version? Like paying a few dollars extra and giving up the 32 bit version for a 64 bit version?
-Nos
PS. the laptop in mind happens to be an ASUS N80vn
