I just received my new laptop with this MLK and am having trouble activating the Office software. When I enter the product key I am told it is incorrect. I activated the trial version without a problem. Any ideas?

I have an old gateway with XP installed on it and was wondering if I could transfer the OS to a new computer and buy the Vista upgrade disc as opposed to the retail version to save a couple of bucks. I know the previous retail DVD comes with both 32 and 64 bit install dvds. Can I assume this is also the case with the SP1 version? It's not listed in the product details, but I can't imagine it would be different.
