  • The Atom Inside of the MSI Wind Barebone - 64-bit?

I am going to put together a PC using the MSI Wind Barebone (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16856167032&Tpk=N82E16856167032). It says it has a 1.6GHz Intel Atom. But is this the 64-bit Atom? I know there's 3 (according to Wikipedia) models of the processor. The Atom N230 is apparently 64-bit. I'd assume it is this one ...

  • Is the Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3L still good?

So I was checking these forums a few months ago and this board's predecessor (without the e) was getting mentioned a lot.  Now I'm planning to build my computer.  I built a computer very similar to the one I'm planning to build (Intel Q6600, antec 900 case, WinXP) and overclocked it (a bit disappointed, tbh).  There's a bunch of new ...

My biggest concern right now is the power supply because I want it to be enough if I want to do 2 or 3 way sli, add another cd drive, or overclock the motherboard/CPU/RAM/Video card. But I don't plan to upgrade anything for at ...

  • FTC vs. Intel

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has started a formal investigation into the pricing practices of Intel. Advance Micro Devices (AMD) has long requested this to be investigated. AMD claims that Intel has artificially lowered the prices on CPU. In fact AMD is already suing Intel under the antitrust statutes making claims ...

  • Yet Another Build Looking For Advice - Intel

Yet another build looking to get the once-over by the eggxperts before I take it through checkout. I'd like to classify it as a modest rod, mostly for media, graphics (web & print) and gaming (mostly older games, though I'd like to be able to give current generation titles a go). Budget really isn't an issue, though I'd rather keep it under ...

  • "The Rise and Fall of AMD & ATI ??"

I just now read that nVidia acquired Ageia...I thought that between Ageia physics and ''true'' quad core processing that AMD/ATI stood a chance of redemption by going a different route technologically. Around the time of socket 939 (seems so long ago) AMD seemed untouchable. Although ATI took the backseat graphically around that time, building ...
