I have read that Intel only qualified this device with 1.0TB drives, but one owner of the device said he uses 1.5TB drives in it.
My question is this:If I get 4 Samsung Spinpoint F2EG HD154UI 1.5TB drives and create a RAID5 array of about 4.5TB, will it work? I intend to have one partition on the array, but I have no experience in arrays this ...

Hello, I'm new to these boards but I'm a long-time Newegg.com customer.
So I've read a few places that removing the hard drive jumper completely opens up the HDD to SATA 3.0 GB/s from 1.5 GB/s. Right now the jumper is on the ''Master'' setting although I've only got one HDD. I've got a Seagate Barracuda 250 GB. Is that true or what?
