Am building a Gigabyte GA-M61PME-S2 based system and can't get it to boot up. I get continuous long beeps, which the manual lists
as ''Graphic card not inserted properly''. Only problem is that I'm using the built in video, so it can't be inserted incorrectly. So is the MOBO bad?

GA-MA78GM-S2H 780G RT, AMD 5800 3.0ghz, 650w PS, 2gb Corsair 800, Month old system, on-board Video in use. Systems runs fine for days with no load. When I use the software Fairuse to compress a 8gb .iso video file my PC starts to buzz - after a few minuets it shuts down. I did not try another program because fairuse has worked on several ...

So I was checking these forums a few months ago and this board's predecessor (without the e) was getting mentioned a lot. Now I'm planning to build my computer. I built a computer very similar to the one I'm planning to build (Intel Q6600, antec 900 case, WinXP) and overclocked it (a bit disappointed, tbh). There's a bunch of new ...

I have been going crazy with (what I assume is) the SATA/XP problem.
I have a Gigabyte GA-G31M-S2L and I am trying to do a clean install of XP Pro SP2 onto an IDE drive (install would reboot suddenly when trying to install onto a SATA hd). Gigabyte does NOT have the SATA/RAID drivers available for this particular board ...

I've had my rig for a little over 5 months now. I've always experienced some issues with the PC (if I play a bunch of videos back to back, or skip through them in WMP, my comp crashes), but I didn't think much of them. Within the past month, my PC has been crashing with some regularity. Vista said it was due to the NVIDIA SATA ...

I just got one of these mother boards from NewEgg.
A lot of reviewers say the board runs rather hot, but none of the reviewers mention whether they are over-clocking the system or not. Obviously if you over-clock a system without supplimenting the stock cooling system it will run hot.
I don't plan to over-clock my system, if fact I don't ...

It's about $10 over your stated price range but it overclocks well and thats rare for this price range.
Asus also makes a board with the same 780G chipset

I have a Gigabyte GA-X48-DQ6 mobo and Installed Vista 64. The 2 x WD 750Gb hard disks were configured in a Raid 1 (mirror) configuration. I never used the floppy driver (that you need to create) and installed Vista without a problem and it works great.
How do I dertermine that Raid 1 works as designed and that the drivers are proper?
Thanks

Hi everyone! I'm getting ready to build my first computer. It's something I've always wanted to do and I'm very excited. What are your thoughts on my choices? I'm upgrading from an Athlon XP 1800+ so I expect there to be big difference!!!
Intel Q6600 G0, possibly overclocked to 3.0Ghz(333x9)

I just bought a Gigabyte GA-X48-DQ6 mobo with Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 Yorkfield processor.
The trouble is that I cannot get the heatsink supplied by Intel to fit properly on the processor. I tried to press down to hear a click and it does not do that.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
