I've been trying to figure out what the difference is between Corsair's 4GB (2x2GB) memory. The specs are identical, including timing. The only differences seem to be the ''C'' or lack thereof, voltage (1.8 vs. 1.9), look, and price.

I'm a big fan of Corsair memory, have been for years. A couple of years ago I built my current ''game machine''. AMD 6000+ X2, eVGA 590 PCIe mobo and 2 nVidia 8500 GT (512mb each) and a pair of 1gb (2gb) dual channel CORSAIR 6400C4 SLI memory sticks. The first ones I bought had ''SLI ready'' on the packaging.

I have the standoffs in. If it was a grounding or short issue I don't think it would power that long, and to do it on 3 separate motherboards? Unless my case is somehow defective.

I recently purchased a Rampage 2 Extreme and Corsair Dominator 6g kit(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145224).
