    Yeah my Nvidia geforce fx5200 cost a packet, 40 bucks some 3 years ago I think. Personally not a gamer so linux is fine for my tasks. It's just nice to have a windows user gasp when you switch desktops by flipping the cube, even better when you enable Beryl instead of compiz and start burning windows on exit etc. I'm not a linux fanboi, I run XP ...
