Greetings,
That motherboard that won't keep the NUM Lock on, I am send it back as unacceptable.
There Help Person said, 'that is how it works.'
I am at my wits end over this.
Another thing, there is a second interface with the BIOS, when it comes up, press <Ctrl> and (press <F1> twice) and you'll find the NUM Lock switch.

Greetings,
I purchased a Gigabyte, GA-EP45-UD3L because I wanted to use my existing processor and DDR2 ram.
I installed it and got it up and running, but there is no switch in the BIOS. Gigabyte told me that there was a switch on the keyboard that turns on the NUM Lock. But I have to do that everytime I boot.
I have read in forums ...

Greetings Earthlings! I could not post this to the reviews on the appropriate page so I will add it here for reference purposes.

OK, I purchased this board looking at the reviews here thinking that the bios upgrade was easy to accomplish. You simply install all of the components and add the new bios and off you go. Not so! This board ...

This post is mainly an FYI for anyone that has a laptop with the all to well known crippled or limited bios options, e.g. no advanced settings in their bios.
I have an acer aspire 5520-5716 that suffers from this same fate. I had googled bios upgrades and had come across people claiming in forums stating

Does anyone have a set of procedures for flashing a BIOS blind? I built a Foxconn A7DA-S AM2+ and was having a spurious shutdown every 24 hours or so. I thought it might be the stock BIOS, so I went to Foxconn and proceeded to download and flash the ''Wrong'' Bios for this board. The machine doesn't have a floppy, but I have ...

That's interesting. I set the timing to 1.9V (set to 1.8V default,) because it says ''1.9V'' on the sticker on the memory itself. I wonder why they would be two different voltages listed? What should I set it to?
The timing is also set differently; how do I change that? In BIOS, it looks like the timing settings are greyed out and uneditable.
