  • Realtek AC '97 Plays but no sound is heard

Ok. I just finished moving the components of my mom's upgraded eMachines T6212 into a new case with better airflow. When I booted up, everything worked (aside from a DVD player malfunction). However, when my mom went to play one of her games, she complained that there was no sound. Device manager says that the audio - Realtek AC'97 - is working ...

  • Sound Card Question

Is it possible to connect front panel audio ports to a sound card?  I'm asking because I was looking at the MSI K9N2 Diamond Motherboard that comes with a sound card and was thinking if it was possible to hook up that audio card to some front panel connectors from my pc case.  I'd appreciate an answer to my question. THANKS!!

I did a basic google search of Antec Nine Hundred front panel audio static and I found that a lot of people have the same problem.  I figured out what is causing it so I thought I'd share.   More importantly I figured out how to fix it.  :)  The fix is to disconnect the grounding wire from the front panel and disconnect the firewire and USB ...

  • To Get Xonar,or not to get Xonar

Ok I am looking at sound cards, and about a week ago, Extremetech.com had an article on sound cards and they said that they like the Asus Xonar card better than the advance Auzentech Prelude X-Fi that I have been looking at. Now I myself have a SB X-Fi Platinum, and since I have upgraded my Mobo I don't have as much problems out of it like I did ...

I bought an HT Omega Striker 7.1 sound card that will not install completely. I have an ASUS A8V-XE motherboard and run Win2000 Pro. • using Front Panel Audio Jacks with a soundcard?!?

Ok, I need a soundcard that will work with my sister's stock eMachines PC.  It needs to be able to output sound from both the front AND rear of the computer, so the soundcard needs the AC97 front audio panel connector, right?  Does anyone know of a good, -cheap- soundcard that would work for this?  The front panel plug ...

  • Sound not working on ASUS mobo

I have an ASUS P5N-E SLI mobo. I cannot get the integrated realtek audio to work. Called ASUS and they said that I needed to remove the CMOS battery for a while and then put it back in and reboot and it'd work, which failed. The newest drivers are installed. The plugs in the AAFP are not plugged in because I cannot find a wiring diagram (if ...
