  • SLI or not?

I'm building a computer, and I was wondering, should I go SLI with the 8800gt or wait for the new 9000 series to come out? If I was going to wait I would probaly go with the 8800gts until the 9000's come out   Thanks

  • Is the future of ATI 2900xt over already?

You know you bought the wrong Video Card when... …you’re seriously thinking about putting in your old Nvidia 7600 I bought a little while back the 2900xt ddr4 1gb card, thinking that it would perform better as a mostly game card with a little bit of CAD work, wrong. People have told me my card is just bored; well on MS fable no one has hair and ...

  • Best stable overclock achieved for 8800 ?

Well, after probably close to 100 freeze/reboots I think I've finally found my highest achievable overclock for my 8800 ultra.. I was curious to see what other speeds you guys have gotten to.  I started with the MSI 8800 ultra OC with the 660 stock clock, and added a HR-03 plus with a 120mm fan.  Through my testing I have found that ...

NVIDIA has recently released the GeForce 8800 Ultra, which enthusiasts have learned is really just an overclocked GeForce 8800 GTX.  Although this guide teaches you how to overclock all NVIDIA video cards, I have selected the FOXCONN NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS as my test subject.  This how-to article will instruct how to ...
  • NVIDIA GeForce 8800 Ultra Sneak Preview

When NVIDIA originally released the GeForce 8800 series back in November of 2006, the industry was stunned. The performance yielded by the newly minted top-level 8800 GTX nearly doubled the next best offerings prior to their launch. Even the slightly less powerful 8800 GTS managed to post similarly astonishing results, making their release a ...
  • How To Overclock the NVIDIA GeForce 8800 Series

Although this guide covers how to overclock all recent NVIDIA video cards, I have selected the FOXCONN NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS as my test subject, which I reviewed back in November 2006 (index.php?option=com_content task=view id=10 Itemid=1). Presently, the 640MB version of the GeForce 8800 GTS is the second-best video card available on the ...
  • XFX GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB XXX Edition

NVIDIA has added some new spice to the plate with their introduction of a new value-priced GeForce 8800 GTS video card featuring a 320MB video frame buffer. Built on the exact same high performance platform as the previous 640MB version, this new edition to the family offers all of the same great performance at almost half the ...
  • FOXCONN GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB

Once you become accustomed to change, you learn that some things have really remained the same. In previous models, NVIDIA has taken to giving each model of video card a level designating suffix. While GeForce buffs may recall that the GTS suffix hasn’t been around for the past five generations, it returns in this eighth generation of GPU’s to ...
  • Re: How old are we?

46/M Metro-Detroit, USA here. I like FPS and Wargames, sometimes I like War Simulators like the ''Silent Hunter'' Series but they tend to make me aware of the passing of time too much, LOL.- A definite No-No! Tank sims get old too. I still enjoy Combat Flight Sims and Helicopter Combat Sims sometimes. The helicopter games tend to be quite ...
