I am going to put together a PC using the MSI Wind Barebone (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16856167032&Tpk=N82E16856167032). It says it has a 1.6GHz Intel Atom. But is this the 64-bit Atom? I know there's 3 (according to Wikipedia) models of the processor.
The Atom N230 is apparently 64-bit. I'd assume it is this one ...

Well I'm stumped. I like to think I'm pretty good at dealing with computer problems - but this one has me beat.
I built my computer about a month ago now. Starting about 2 weeks ago,
I started to have a problem. I leave my computer on 24/7 and when I
woke up in the morning, I had an error message on my screen (not a
BSOD). It looks like the ...

I know the previous retail DVD comes with both 32 and 64 bit install dvds. Can I assume this is also the case with the SP1 version? It's not listed in the product details, but I can't imagine it would be different.

Ok. I have tried through the windows update program and recieve error code 80070002. I have used Windows memory diagnostic software and no errors were reported, I have scanned the system files and a few errors were not resolved. I have checked the hard disk and no errors or bad secotrs were brought to my attention. I am not sure as to why this is ...

Well thanks for all your discussion on the matter - it's appreciated.
Just so we're all on the same page, here's an photo of the BSOD I get all the time.
Anyway, my dilemma continues... I
reinstalled again, but this time with my old copy of Windows XP Home
Edition - 32 bit. Guess what? All is working fine - no blue ...

I've just built a new system and I keep getting BSOD's that
predominantly give an error code that begin with 0x1000007e and at no
time have any system files been listed as to what caused the problem
(just the long hexadecimal string no one really understands in the
brackets/parentheses). My research suggests to me that the most ...

Hello,
This is my first post, and I hope it will be useful for you!
This might not make your day, but there is a definite possibility that some of your RAM may be bad, or at very least incompatible with your current configuration. You say that your system works in XP just fine, which is a great starting place: we know that at least 3GB of your ...

Hiiiiii. I recently added 4gb to my computer making the total 5gb. I have xp 32 bit and vista 64 bit on duel boot. XP works fine but for some reason vista takes like 5 mins to startup now and the OS is kinda slow once its loaded as well. Yes I already tried reinstalling Vista no change at all.

Actually, i was wrong. Adobe does not have a 64-bit flash player just like you said they didn't. Anyway, . . . Vista 64-bit come with IE ver 7 32 and 64 bit version. type internet in the search box under start menu, and click IE with the ''No Add-ons'' descriptions. That one should be the 32 bit version

Hello. I'm looking to build my first system from scratch, ever. Tech knowledge is therefore relatively minimal by the standards of this forum, but I'm looking to learn something.
Question: What Windows based OS should I use? (XP/Vista, 32/64)
Purpose: General computing (word processing, email), some gaming (nothing ...

I've been using a Netgear WPN824 RangeMax wireless router with a Netgear WG111T wireless USB adapter with 32-bit Vista. I need to also use 64-bit Server 2003, so I set up my system to dual boot. However, none of the Netgear WG111T drivers I tried (versions 1.3 and 2.1) support 64-bit Server 2003.
Does anyone know of a reliable ...
