Quick memory upgrade question

Hey guys,

Just a really quick question here. I think everything is going to work fine, but I just wanted to ask, will G.Skill 2x 2GB DDR2 1066 be supported by an ASUS P5Q? I have my computer here running Windows XP on 2 GB RAM, but I'd like to upgrade to the 64-bit Windows 7 Ultimate with 6 GB total of RAM. I already have identical G.SKILL RAM, except it's two sticks of 1 GB (here), so that would make for a total of 6 GB. I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work, but the only reason I ask is because I didn't see it in the motherboard's compatibility list, I just wanted to check to make sure it supports 4 GB modules.

upgrading Macbook Memory

Hey guys,

My friend asked me to upgrade the ram in her macbook, i just want to make sure i am buying the right one. She has a 13" Macbook, and in the 'About this mac' screen it currently says "512 MB 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM"

Talked to and they said it might be one of my RAM sticks, so i went through and tested them all, 3 worked pretty good and one so I put the 3 in. For some reason though my internet speed test download speed is higher with each of the sticks alone than all together, is there any reason for this ?

As stated above, I am now doing my first ever pc build, and i am generally new to this world. I know basic stats listed in, say, video cards and processors, however i am new to terms such as 'PCI', and 'I/O' ports. But at least I am trying. I have tried reading up on new egg's learning center, but this is a lot of information to intake.

Anyway, I already have my list of items on newegg.com that I am thinking of getting, however I am wanting to do a compatibility check so to speak and make sure that I have exactly what I need. The following are names and links to the items I have chosen. Whoever posts on this, if you wouldn't mind to check and make sure all of my parts are compatible with each other, as well as identifying exactly what my needs are. I am only wanting a PC that is for media purposes, such as playback of HD movies, and use of music software. As well as perfectly outfitted for office use. But i also desire to run games of quality such as l4d2, Half Life 2, Borderlands, TF2 ETC, on high.

The I have not found a 5.1 sound card that is suitable yet. However suggestions would be great. If anything could be better for less, or anything needs to be replaced, i would love suggestions on that as well. My budget, only for the tower, is between $800 and $900. ASUS AT3GC-I memory question

So I bought this board for a NAS project, and quickly bought the RAM without double checking the specs on the board vs. the RAM (I know, I'm an i***t). I bought this Corsair RAM

Ram = DDR2 667, Mobo = DDR2 533. I'm pretty certain this will still be compatible, as the motherboard should just run the memory slower, but I wanted to verify before I install it and power it on.

Any Suggestions are GREATLY Appreciated.
