Brand new build, getting no video

recieved part yesterday from new egg and put everything together. Went to turn on and not getting any video. verified monitor is working. Fans in case and on cpu cooler are working. Not getting any onboard beeps or feed back. Tried placing in each ram stick seperately to make sure that wasnt problem. Moved video card to both pci-e card slots but still no video. Any help that I could get would be appreaactied. Only thing i can figure is either the video card or the motherboard have a problem. Also if someone could look at this build and let me know if all the components are compatible. I did some research but I might have missed something.Below is list of mats from build.

MSI NF980-G65 Capability Question

Are there any incompatibilities with nVidia nForce chipsets on motherboards and ATI video cards? I just got the MSI NF980 board and I'm now wondering if there are any incompatibilies with nVidia nForce chipsets on motherboards and ATI video cards? I'm just curious because I'm looking into buying an ATI 4890 card. The motherboard has the PCI Express x16 slot the card requires, I was just curious if since the chipset is made by nVidia if there would be any incompatibilities with the ATI card.

I need help choosing a temporary graphics card for my new gaming rig.

Later on I will be purchasing an ATI HD Radeon 5870.

Requirements:

-Let me play some very basic games and accomplish basic tasks.

-Something that WILL NOT affect the drivers on my HD Radeon 5870, that I will be getting in about two months.

-Compatible with the parts listed below

The rpm for the current hard drive is 5400.

I guess this is also listed as AR3610-U9012 or (PT.SCX02.002) ...

It is listed as Not in Stock at a couple of places now (such as bhphotovideo.com & cdw.com) ...

Anyone know when Newegg is getting this in?

i wanted to play some simple online games (maple story, cabal, and MAYBE wow) but i have no video card, and my cpu cant handle it (well it sort of handles ms). i figured out that i have one pci express 16x slot on my mobo, and was wondering what kind of card will allow me to play games like that at DECENT speeds (like cabal on lowest quality or w/e). preferably one for under 40$?? also what do al the specs of a graphics card mean, and which are important?

BUYing a new PC, anything wrong with this set up.

Looking for input with regards to this all being compatiable. The OS Im buying is vista 64bit is that compatiable with the Processor and motherboard? Im not looking for better choices just want to know when I put this all together it will run smoothly or even turn on. A friend of mine just bought somehting simaliar but after he installed the OS same 1 as above it freezes at the desktop after turning on.

I'm planing on just replacing my old motherboard of AMD athlon 1.53ghz and my 480mb of RAM with 120GB, DVD, CD, Does anybody knows if i need something else to run it smoothly ? Or is that all i need to have a quad core up & running ?

I need your wise expert opinion !!!

$300 build suggestions?

Hello :)

I'm looking for a nice desktop build for $300. I'm mainly looking for something that can do all your basics but at the same time has room for upgrades in the future. Some of the things that I'm looking for in this build include:

SATA CD/DVD+/-RW
2.2-2.6 GHz processor
2gb memory 800-1066
160-250gb HDD 5400-7200 RPM
64 bit

I'd like to be able to get more memory in the future (at least 4gb). As far as video, audio, and network I'd like them integrated into a motherboard with enough expansion slots to get a decent video card down the road. I'd like a motherboard that has room to add more parts down the road. I'm not picky as far as cases though keep in mind that I plan on eventually adding on eventually and I'd like to have a power supply that has enough wattage to supply upgrades. It'd be nice to have 2 cores in the processor as well though I know that probably wont happen with my budget. Any form of cooling that will work is fine. I'd prefer a 64 bit system but if its too expensive then a 32 bit will do. I also plan on getting a wireless g/n card or usb device so if you can manage to work that in then that would help as well. I'll supply the OS (WinXP SP3, eventually Win7).

Keep in mind that this is a "wish" list and not what most likely falls under the $300 category. So do what you can and let me know. These are just very rough guidelines. Thanks for anyone who can help! I understand that $300 isn't much to work with. If you have to take it up to $400 but I'd really like to stay under $300.
