Ahhhhhh!!!
*keeps hitting F5*
I can't wait for this black friday on newegg! I have a feeling this might be when I get a netbook...

I just saw the early black friday deals email...I like the looks of what is offered, but we need more netbooks! ;)

Doesn't look too bad...what's your budget, though? You might be able to pick up a Rebel XT or XTi on the cheap. I personally love the Rebel's, though if you want Olympus, that looks like a fine camera. In a quick search I did, I saw all 4.5-5 star ratings.

Try PMing the mods. They're usually around, and can most likely help you out.

daniel88c:I especially love that one interview that was done on VH1 (I think), the guy interviews some actor or something.
Interviewer: Do you twitter/tweet?
Actor: No man! I don't do drugs!
LOL! Do you know who this guy was? I can just imagine the automatic defensive mode the guy went in to.

Wow...I'm quite surprised by how well you guys say this thing is. How does it perform under heavy download conditions, or a satellite internet line? I'm guessing call quality would get reduced, but how much?

Definitely want to get in on L4D...if I can get my computer up and running soon enough. =x

WOW!
I'm very impressed by the depth of that information. I had no idea that MS was like that about the license agreements.

The main issue I see is software support. I can do so much more (including gaming) on a PC than I can on a Mac. If I was a GFX person, then I'd probably use a Mac, but for now I'll stick to Windows.

The video problems indicate to me that it's either a PSU or GFX card issue, but if you've ruled out the PSU for sure, then can you try swapping out GFX cards with a spare? Even if the card is older, that'll give you a good sense of if that's causing the problem. However, it doesn't explain the sound issues....
Perhaps a bad RAM module? The ...

nthing the laptops/netbooks vote. I would love to get a little netbook, just to play around with.

Did you apply thermal paste (and the right amount of it) when you put your heatsink/fan onto the CPU? Burning smell sounds really bad...hopefully you haven't damaged anything so far, but if it were me, I'd start (gently) pulling components apart and looking for the issue.

edit: ack...my internet went crazy. didn't mean to double post.

Looks like you have everything you need...in fact you have 2 of everything you need. That brings up one small concern about your operating system...you only have a 1-pack. That'll likely give you trouble installing on 2 systems, particularly since it's the OEM version. Otherwise, that looks nice. =)
