The Sonata III already has tapped screw holes on the back side of the hard drive cage for adding a 120mm case fan. If you look at the side view image of the case the fan will go on the left side of the left part of the hard drive area. Also, I really like the hard drive mounting on this case, it has four slide out trays for the hard ...

I have the Sonata III and have added a second 120mm tricool fan to the back of the hard drive cage and find it to be very quiet, I have my fans at medium and can hardly hear them, I haven't had a heat problem and haven't had to turn them up to High. The only problem is you only have about 9.5 inches of room for your video card, add in the ...

Sometimes you have to go the the manufacturers website to get the full specs.
Here is the info on that drive from LiteOn:

Rethinking the power supply is a good idea. Check out the tiered PSU thread in power supplies. The Raidmax is not to be recommended, most people here strongly urge the use of Tier 1 or Tier 2.

There might be a problem with that PSU with that MOBO. the power supply only has a 4 pin 12V connector and the motherboard shows an 8 pin socket. Some motherboards with 8 pin sockets will work with only the 4 pin connected, especially with lower power CPU's, but there is no guarantee on that.
Are you still getting the WD Black hard drive, ...

Did you check all the psu connections to see that they are well seated? The 20+4 and 8pin 12V to the motherboard and the 6 pin PCIe to the end of the video card. From the pictures it looks like the socket for the 6 pin on the end of the video card is somewhat recessed and might be a little tough to get firmly seated.

Awesome! you allowed all weekend for the build and by Friday night you were already at the boot stage.
I've been eyeing that Ergotron monitor arm for a while. That might be my next toy.
I see you switched from the Edimax wireless adapter to the Encore wireless one. How is that working for you. My Edimax was working great with Win7 ...

Ummmm, shouldn't you have said ''Thanks for the help guys AND gals:''.. Ladytekki is one of the awesome ladies who always has great, on-target advice.

Just guessing here since I don't have a HAF or a SSD but I would try contacting Cooler Master. The HAF seems to use the same HD bays as the newer Storm Scout and Storm Sniper, and both those cases include a 2.5 to 3.5 adapter, you might see if that would work for your case. Here is the link to the storm ...

They are both good drives, and the Black is the better one of the two. You should do fine. As far as WD colors, Blue =good, Green=better, Black=best.
By the way the local green drive was retail so it would include a Sata cable, the Black from newegg is OEM and doesn't include a cable.

If it were me, and I was ordering this very soon, I would just go ahead and order this:

If you order by tuesday you save ten bucks, and the hassle of installing Vista then downloading and installing Win 7. From looking at all the versions it seems to me that Win7 hope premium ...

That wireless card is working great for me. I did go to the edimax website and grab the updated Vista driver and it works great with Win7 64bit RC.
I really am not fond of LiteOn but do really like Samsung, so I think its worth a couple of bucks more for this DVD drive:

Back to the questions at hand, That Mobo comes with two sata cables so you should be good to go there.
The beep codes will come from the case speaker, As I recall the Sonata III does come with a case speaker, some Antecs don't tho.

I got the 3 day promo email this morning, Good job Newegg. I can't believe they have the Sonata III case for $82.99 shipped!!! This is a great deal for the budget builder, it is a very solid case with a 500 watt Earthwatts Tier 2 psu. Of course its not deep enough for a honkin' huge video card but still a good deal.

Windows 7 will work OK with what you already have. It is pretty similar to what I have. I went from XP home sp2 to the win7 64bit RC and all is well. Granted it is not a gaming rig, but works well for me. I currently have 2x1 Gig of ram and rarely get above 45 percent usage. I was using an 8400GS video card and was getting ...
