Even if you could transplant this into another case and get it to work right, the Socket 478 Pentium 4 single core cpu will not decide HD content adequately to make this a decent HTPC type video player.

That's what he did, but he imported/initialized the disk as a MBR disk. Logical limit with MBR is 2TB, period.
He needs to reinit / convert to GPT, then create and format the new partition.

Tr3mere is incorrect, if the drive is already formatted MBR, you can't expand to fill it, 2TB is the logical limit with MBR, no matter what you try.
You must convert from MBR to GPT (that will force a format and delete the contents of the drive, so back everything up first).
