• Re: Mother Board

Is that an all in on pc? http://www.dell.com/us/p/xps-one-27-2710-aio/pd If this is not it then why not link it to give us information to help you. If so then good luck getting something user replaceable. That is all proprietary parts in there not something you can pick up off the self at a newegg or bestbuy.

That is not bad. Can you buy from Amazon UK? If so I would look there for power supplies. There pricing is good shipping is usually pretty cheap and return policy is excellent.

  • Re: Powering my 7950

Has nothing to do with modular or anything else. It has to do with the way the power supply was designed. Am not disgruntled just needed the information I asked for to assist you I would not use that to power anything more then your motherboard and fans. Trying to power that 7950 would not be a good idea. That 7950 can draw alot of power but it ...

  • Re: Powering my 7950

I have asked you several times what power supply you have. Why are you not providing that information? Don't trust what is stated on powersupply box if its not from a very highly respected maker of power supplies. I have a feeling you have an extremely low quality power supply and it really can't power it. If it doesn't have pci-e connectors ...

  • Re: Powering my 7950

What brand power supply? So if I read correctly you have no pci-e connectors. If you are going to connect it to a molex connector then do it directly to the psu not to a splitter or what not. I wouldn't. Sounds like you have a very cheaply made power supply and that shouldn't even be powering a 7950

  • Re: Powering my 7950

Well what you are trying to do sounds very suspicious. Lets regroup here and go over some parts in your computer. What 7950 do you have? What power supply do you have? Did you build this computer yourself or was it a pre-built? This are all important questions to see if that 7950 will work. So if I understand correctly you are trying to power ...

  • Re: Issue when booting up ? Just started happening

First things first Reset the bios. Find the bios reset jumper or in the bios reset it to defaults. Then reboot and see what happens. Raidmax makes psu's that should only be used as door stops or boat anchors. I can't state right now if its the psu causing you issues but down the line it can cause you issues.

  • Re: Gaming PC

I disagree with the hard drive recommendation. Why a blue drive in a single drive system? Black will give him the performance he needs and the reliability he needs. I don't see the point in that. Now if it was solely a data drive then sure.

  • Re: Rate my build...and try to outdo me in cost.

Trust me, I understand the value when it comes to CPU, Ram, and HDD...which is why I didnt go current gen unless the price merited what I required for my needs. I went older gen on the CPU because I was able to get comparable performance for half the price. Seemed like a no brainer to me even though many a times people get hung up on age ...

  • Re: Rate my build...and try to outdo me in cost.

The build not cpu is useless. You choose to assume cpu which is incorrect. As I stated this build is more suited to a server not a desktop gaming pc even though it has a gaming gpu in it. A current day i3 is a better choice and better performer then those xeons and even the older core2 quads when it comes to games. Games will not take advantage ...

  • Re: Rate my build...and try to outdo me in cost.

You obviously don't know much if anything about computers. Games will not benefit at all from that useless build. That build should only be used as a server and not a desktop pc. I should lock or even delete this thread as useless and trolling

  • Re: Recommend a build for photographer

No they won't DDR2 is not compatible with DDR3. You need all new stuff motherboard cpu and ram. The rest of the stuff will work fine. A clean OS install is highly recommended to make sure all works properly. Most folks are shying away from ASUS these days as they are getting pricey and also there Customer Service is not the greatest. Most ...

  • Re: 1st PC build

Ok games will not use more then 8gbs of ram. So loose the 16gbs. Second games could care less about hyper threading loose the i7. 8gbs of ddr3 1600 and an i5 3570k will work fine. This build is an excellent gaming build feel free to replace the graphics card with the one in your list. You case is not a really good one outdated and small. The case ...

  • Re: First Computer Build (May 2013)

I see a few things to make this build better. First off most folks are now going with Asrock for there motherboard choice. The Asrock z77 Extreme 4 board is 134.99 5 bucks more but no other discount. I would spend the extra bit and get that board. The board has excellent features best bang for the buck and Asus's customer service is not great if ...
