• Re: Which 120mm fan flows the most with least dBA

I don't know if anyone can find the lowest dBA and the highest air flow, however we can provided some for reference Scythe GentleTyphoon D1225C12B5AP-15 . The coolermaster one is correct, but they didn't give out all the dBA at various fan setting. For ex: 19dBA only at the lowest rpm setting. There are 3 fan setting, ...

  • Re: Gaming Build

I would chose this CPU instead AMD Athlon II X4 620 and if you going to be gaming I would get a DX 11 support SAPPHIRE 100283L Radeon HD 5770 . ECC ram usually used for server motherboard try this instead G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB).

  • Re: EggXpert Folding@Home Team

Actually VM is required because VM smp folding is based on linux based which provided more points, most people who fold with their i7 use smp7 instead of 8, so the graphics card ppd won't drop. Just give you some idea how much bonus points actually rewarded http://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=55&t=11314.

  • Re: Which mhz ddr3???

Any frequency would be appropriated as long as your motherboard supports them. The 1066 for the cpu fsb is nothing related to the memory freqency you don't have to match them in order to work. DDR3-1066 or 1333 would be more common for non-overclocking system, any higher frequency ram 1600mhz would be more appropriated for overclocking.

  • Re: Liquid Cooling Questions

Corsair H50 probably a better choice, since the performance are similar but you don't have to worry about heatsink blocking the ram slots if you go with the H50.

  • Re: Liquid Cooling Questions

Compared as price vs performance? The corsair easier the best value for the price in liquid cooling. The very high end air cooling still has better performance.

  • Re: Liquid Cooling Questions

Corsair H50 is different than what a complete liquid cooling setup, the Corsair H50 has built in pump and reservoir. Now the radiator itself only support one fan. A complete setup of a liquid cooling would have a lot more parts such as stronger pump, better reservoir for heat dispatch and also a larger radiator for at least 2 ...

  • Re: F@H and tips and tricks

You can use a quad if you want, I am testing it out right now. As long as you can complete one frame under 57mins through the WU you will get the bonus point. But, the quicker the more bonus factor. It seems to pick up the 1920 points WU for now, I report back if I started folding the 25043 points WU.
