  • Re: 128,256 bits or DDR3, DDR5 cards??

OmniNegro:The short answer is that the video card is not so important as some think. Any decent card that has enough Vram for the games and applications you want to play will work just fine. Take this little hint about what drives games. Look at the Xbox 360. It has a Radeon 500 Megahertz GPU with 10 Megabytes or Vram. And it has a 3+ Gigahertz ...

  • Re: A question about motherboard/RAM compatibility

I'd suggest better qualty names http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145241 or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820146692 A very important thing to note, If you are on a 32 bit OS you won't see all 4 GB, only like 3 GB or more or less. Put the sticks into the 1st and 3rd slots for dual ...

  • Re: Motherboard questions

They are only for raid.ODD is Optical disk drive.Depends on your fans, If your fans draw more than 15w of power I suggest a PSU connection.PWR fan is for the PSU, although, my Striker II Formula board will allow any fan connected to itOPT fan is the OPTIONAL chipset fans that are available for that main board.

  • Re: Confused about RAM

How much of what RAM is currently installed in your system? If your not sure I suggest replacing the old RAM, because if you mix RAM with different operating voltages or latencies the system won't post. If you want 2GB I'd go with these. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820226082 If you want 4GB (I wouldn't recomend it) ...
