defiledfrog:nothing above 9vs9 on multiplayer,
That is even misleading.. IW says 9V9... but that is ONLY in one multi-player game mode called ''Ground War''.... Team Death match only allows up to 6v6 , and some of the modes are even less then that. So not only did they drop the amount of people allowed in a game, they also ...

Hmm..
well, when a company sells a product at a certain price for a period of time, then after a while wants to unload more product and thus reduces prices, I would consider that a ''sale price''... then when they want to retain product and raise the price to ''like'' levels before the reduced price, I would consider that ''off sale''... ...

True sjr,
I went back and looked at my current memory price and when I bought it in 3/07.
G.skill 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 800
03/07 = $139.99
Today = $50.99

ddehr026:I totally disagree with wasper.ddr2 800 on sale for a year? i highly doubt it. I agree with earlier posts that its more a supply and demand function.
Well, your entitled to your opinion.. But I have been building systems off of Newegg for quite a while now and have seen these long-term sales come and go . And yes, NewEgg runs memory ...

Well...
I'm on the ''Will never buy it unless they add dedicated server support'' team. I also read around and all of the fears that PC gamers had about this P2P system are true.
Read this and it will give you a good look at multiplayer with MW2 on PC http://www.gamearena.com.au/pc/games/title/modern-warfare-2/reviews.php?id=5033868

If anyone has paid attention to memory prices over the years, then you would see that it has its highs and lows. Most of the time when people are looking at low priced memory on NewEgg.. you will also notice that it is a reduced price on sale and ALL the memory across the board is on sale at the same time.
But, then when the sale goes away, ...

Hi,
I used to run Nvidia, but my last two cards have been ATI. I haven't found anything wrong with them from my end.
Running one card in either the 790X or 790FX will run at the full x16 lanes. It is only when you add a second card does it matter. But, If your never going to put a second graphics card in.. then I would say spending ...

Hi Stu555,
I took a quick look at your build and have a few suggestions..
First, If your going to be spending that kind of money, then I would look into a 790FX based motherboard. It is going to be about $70 more dollars, but the PCIex16 slots will run at full x16 in a dual graphic card set-up. The 790X based boards, like the one you ...

HI Stu55,
I will admit that I have been away from the forums, and general PC building, for a little while. So, if there is a problem running 4 dimms in an AMD based machine, then it is news to me. That said, I am an AMD guy myself and never ran into this problem first hand.
I took a quick look at your build, but I will respond in your ...

Hi,
Should read all four stick no problem.
There is a sticky at the top of the System Builds sub-forum on how to make a public wishlist.
Here is the direct link
I would submit you build to the builder sub-forum. You will get loads of advice on how to make your system well balanced.

Hi,The two you had picked out were: 4GB DDR3 1600 (2x2GB) with a CAS of 9-9-9-24 with a voltage of 1.5
This set has a nice 1600 speed. But, the timings are kind of high with the CAS being 9.
8GB DDR3 1066 (2x4GB) with a CAS of 7-7-7-18 with a voltage of 1.5
This set is at 1066 speed, which is lower speed then the first set... but, the ...

Well....
As you have already come to realize.. that Sunbeam
PSU is a piece of garbage. I think you learned your lesson though, so I
wont scold you for buying such a horrid piece of c**p.
Another problem I see is, you bought a Crossfire board, but then went with a Nvidia card. You wont ever be able to add another Nvidia card on that ...

HI,
The Gigabyte motherboard you have chosen has a X58 chipset on it, which can use multiple card set-ups using either Nvidia or ATI cards. So, your fine with what ever card you choose to buy.
I will direct you to a few places..

Gah !
That is perfect Sid... but kinda blows the budget ! I don't think I ever spent over $50 for a case before. Remember, I was always the guy spouting off about ''Spend your money on internal hardware and buy a Rosewill'' lol
This time I figured I would up my ''case budget'' to $75.. figuring I was treating myself. Guess I have to go ...
