I realize this is an old thread but I recently put together a computer with the same motherboard and power supply, and I noticed that the shapes of the 8 pin EPS doesn't line up; I have an i5-2500k, 8gb gskill ram, but my problems lies in when I turn on my computer it will light up and than turn off after about 4-10(it varies) seconds, than after another 3-5 seconds or so turn itself back on and stay on...but I cant get an output to my monitor, do you guys think my PSU is DOA or that my electricity cannot handle my new rig? Or might something be plugged in incorrectly? I have built 3 machines without running into this problem all within the last 2 years. I have tried the computer with just the 4 that are the correct shape in and with all 8 and i have noticed with 4 in it restarts faster than with the 8 in. I don't know how much of this is helpful, but if you need any other information I will be willing to provide it.
ALL insight is appreciated :)
I don't currently have another PSU to test it with, but I will grab another from my own rig tomorrow. Debating on unplugging my own pc's PSU to try to get this one to work, (I am currently building this for a friend not at my own house, so I don't have all my tools and parts readily available)
