Upgrading the power supply HP Pavilion p6710f

I just bought the HP Pavilion p6710f at staples because there was a pretty good deal on it. And I'm looking to add a good graphics card; Something like a gt 460, but I'm going to need a bigger power supply. I'm just not sure how to choose one that will fit, or if one will even fit. I was hoping someone here would have a few suggestions for me on both power supplies and video cards. Looking to spend maybe $250 forboth

According to HP's website it is a ATX case, so and descent 450w ATX psu "should work".

Suggest a Seasonic in that price range, they had a nice one on sale recently.

I walk outside first thing in the morning to hear a sound and look up to see a Hawk pounce on a Blue-bird from high above.

Leaving nothing more than a plethora of feathers slowly floating to the ground.

This is the year of the Predator, don't be the prey............

Thanks. Any recommendations on a gtx 460 card. Best bang for the buck? Or should I post that question separately somewhere else.

Did it work out?  I went round and round with finding a PSU for a Dell, and after several months the one I finally got worked.

Just got it today. Installed it and it fit perfectly, and everything is working good, but I now know why people make such a big deal about modular PSU's. I was left with a ton of extra cable in my case. Luckily I was able to clip off all of the extra cable with shears and it looks nice and tidy now.

P.S. That was just a joke, Lol I was able to fold all the excess cable away into an available 5.25" bay.

Excellent news, thanks for the update; maybe the few of us with brand name "pre-builts" could get together and make a nice post about our additions.  It only takes about 1 minute before our posts here at EggXpert are available through most search engines, and if we use the tags properly people will find our work much faster.

There are a few considerations of which you already addressed one of them, the PSU.  The other considerations are how the case was designed for cooling and if the card fits with all the extra "stuff" that might be built in to the case.  Other than that you should be able to use what ever you want.  I'm using a Sapphire Radeon 5570 that was made for a smaller form factor but could also be used in a full height PCI-e slot, I'm getting 60 FPS in World of Warcraft with it and 40/50 FPS in 10/25 man raids.  For the lower price, and seemingly lower end of the 5570s it does really well and didn't require a PCI-e power connector.  Just look through the reviews of the "most ratings" and "highest ratings" cards, thats how you get the most bang for the buck.
