Very nice. Too bad I don't have a P55 board to use it on if I do win it...

the best I ever had with overclocking was with my cryo-Z from OCZ and I got my intel core i7 running at 5.3 ghz whitch seems imposable but I did it at blizzcon 2010 and now at my home!

    Re: Newegg.com: Geek ON!

Wouldn't say this was my "best" overclocking experience, but by far my most remembered.  When I first got into computers at the age of 14, I bought an Athlon XP 2800+ and tried to overclock it with a stock CPU fan and low grade memory.  My first computer and also my first fried processor.  Learned my lesson real quick...

    Re: Newegg.com: Geek ON!

I made a computer of some computers i had just recieved, all where in a state of disfunction( no hard drive, burnt motherboard, etc, and had a good enough computer, 4 gb of ram 1333 mHz, a 2.6 gHz dual core prossesor default and a good heatsink. also 512 gb of harddrive. I spent over a week building, defragmenting, installing, downloading. Then the computer still wasent fast enough for me so i decided i made a bad mistake, i used a dell motherboard. the only working one that fit my needs (ok, maybey they where wants) and i couldnt overclock. Im going to get another motherboard and then i want to get at least 3 gHz from the prossessor. Wish me luck:P

    Re: Newegg.com: Geek ON!

My favorites story was overclocking a P4 for my aunt. My aunt had a p4 533 mhz board. I went to bump up the bus and it was already at 533 mhz so I left it. I got a call my my aunt a few weeks later saying the computer was running very slow. So went over and checked and found I had dropped it to 400 mhz somehow. I felt extra bad because I had her spend the extra couple of $ for pc 3200 ram before checking and realized when I got there her board only did not go past 533.
