Samsung syncmaster 2033 and syncmaster 2253bw

I originally bought a syncmaster 2033( http://www.newegg.com/product/product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001313)  for my computer, however the gpu was not very compatible with the screen (flashed every second on certain pages) due to some transmitting frequency etc. etc. I borrowed a friends 2253bw (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001268) and it works great with my build. I have to return the monitor to my friend and I am looking for a new one. Does anyone know a good monitor that will work with my build. Any help would be awesome.

Sorry, but there's no such thing as flashing incompatibilities...

Sounds more like the monitor is defective.. Try it at your friend's house and if it still does it.. RMA it to the manuf. under warranty before your warranty runs out.. Monitors get damaged in transit all the time, wouldn't be surprised if it was DOA and you didn't even realize it.

Re: Samsung syncmaster 2033 and syncmaster 2253bw

I have tried the same monitor on a few different computer. It only happens with my video card which was already RMAed and replaced by a certified working GPU. In fact in flashes less when I have the monitors running together. The frequency I mentioned has to do with the refresh rate and the "video bandwidth". I can't set the refresh rate any higher than 60hz.

Re: Samsung syncmaster 2033 and syncmaster 2253bw

I know it sounds stupid, but uninstall it and load the drivers from the device manager manually and then power down and plug it in. Sometimes that fixes issues like this.

Also, be certain it is loading a real driver. If it is loading a "Generic" driver then that can cause such issues.

Also, you may want to try messing with the monitors configuration. You know, the menu on the monitor controlled by the buttons on the monitor itself. Perhaps it will work properly if the color calibration is reset or tweaked?

It has multiple connectors on it. Have you tried each? If it only happens with one or a few, then it may be possible to work around the issue.

I am just shooting blindly here. It could also be gremlins...

    Good luck with it.

I quit. I am not coming back.
