Pizza [pi] Quick Quandry related to a video upgrade

A friend of mine recently received a Dell Vostro 1520 laptop with the standard Mobile IntelĀ® Graphics Media Accelerator X4500MHD (for suck).

Knowing that the NVIDIA GeForce 9300M is also available for this model, is there some means of upgrading the graphics card to this or another, aftermarket, without breakin the bank or the computer?

For laptops, there's usually no way to upgrade the graphics chipset.

The chips are likely soldered directly to the motherboard. Only high end custom gaming systems have interchangeable graphics chips, and even then, the small market means astronomical prices.
